The FBI has notified our office of delays with Civil Applicant submissions beginning April 28th through May 2nd 2010. “Electronic” Civil Applicant submissions will be held in queue at the FBI for processing immediately after completing the US Census fingerprints. This will cause delays with receiving your FBI responses during this period and sometime thereafter, but may also affect “manual” submissions even more that are already taking about 2 months from the FBI until the “electronic” backlog has been eliminated. Please plan accordingly for any time sensitive fingerprint background checks performed during this period.
