Compliance (PD&C) Unit Mission Statement
Criminal History Repository
administers the Nevada Criminal
Justice Information System (NCJIS)
and through PD&C provides access,
develops, coordinates with
technology new module applications,
provides new module training, NCJIS
biennial certification training,
completes biennial compliance audits
to the users of NCJIS and manages
the Civil Name Check Program. In
addition, serves as the CJIS Systems
Agency (CSA) for the State that
includes National Crime Information
Center (NCIC), which includes
Interstate Identification Index
(III), NLETS
and California Law Enforcement
Telecommunications System (CLETS).
Priorities:
As
stated in PD&C Unit's Mission Statement,
the Unit is responsible to provide
access, train user community
initially and biennially thereafter,
audit user community biennially and
document new applications and train
user community on those
applications. The Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) and the Director of
the Department of Public Safety
through the CJIS Systems Officer (CSO)
mandate these performance
indicators.
Performance Indicators:
Complete 100% of all Federally
Mandated audits, 100% of NCJIS/NCIC
training and process 100% of Civil
Name Check inquiries within 3
working days.
